We’re excited to share an update with you about the upcoming High School Water Polo season!
The season kicks off on January 13th, 2025, and we’re currently recruiting players who want to dive into this exciting sport. To help everyone get ready, Orlando Thunder Water Polo Club (who trains at the NTC) is offering a special program for new high school players during November and December. They’re calling it the Rising Stars program, and it’s a great way to get a head start!
Here are the details:
• Practice Times:
o Monday: 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM
o Tuesday & Thursday: 6:00 PM – 7:45 PM
• Cost: $200 for the full two months (including winter break!)
• Start Date: November 12th, 2023
Students can come try it out for one free practice before committing—just to see if they enjoy it!
Even if your student can’t join the winter sessions, they’re more than welcome to join the High School Water Polo Team during the regular season. We’re excited to build a team made up of players from all Lake County schools to represent the Lake Minneola High School team!
If your student isn’t attending Lake Minneola, no problem! Just reach out to Ulrikaperoni@gmail.com or contact Mrs. Cheney (the Athletic Director at LMHS) at cheneys@lake.k12.fl.us so we can make sure all the necessary paperwork is taken care of.
We also have some exciting upcoming events, including fundraisers and spirit nights! The next one at Portillo's on November 14th. Be sure to keep an eye on Lake Minneola’s social media for all the details. Even with the recent grant we received from USA Water Polo, we’re still working hard to raise funds for pool time, and if you know of any local businesses interested in supporting the team, we now have a direct link for donations: https://lake.revtrak.net/high-schools/lmhs/lmhs-athletics/lmhs-water-polo/
If you have any questions or want more info, feel free to reach out. We can’t wait to see your student on the water polo team!

Day 63 - We’re thrilled to introduce Brooklyn as our Hawk of the Day! This outstanding student went above and beyond to assist her teacher, demonstrating kindness, responsibility, and teamwork. Congratulations, Brooklyn! Keep soaring high! #OneHawk

Day 62: Meet Lexi! She’s our Hawk of the Day for being kind, outgoing, and a hard worker. So proud to have her as a Lake Minneola Hawk! #OneHawk

Competing against the fastest in the state, the LMHS boys swim team placed 2nd, and the girls finished 5th (out of 18 teams) at the 4A Region 2 Championships! Heading to the 4A State Championship on 11/9 are Lyla Conte, Collin Magnus, Henry Carlisle, Eric Jurski, Evan Stires, and Kai Larkin.
The girls' 400 free relay—Sidney Stromberg, Liv Klein, Finley Budds, and Lyla Conte—was selected as an alternate.

We have been getting a lot of inquiries about PSAT scores and want to relay the following information. There are two ways students can access their scores:
1. If students provided their phone number during the Digital Readiness Check, they should have received information to download the BigFuture School mobile app to access scores.
2. Students can view their scores in their College Board account.
a. If students cannot see their scores in their CB account, they need to contact CB at 866-433-7728
