Assistant Principals

Hello Lost Lake Community,

My name is Scott Clark, Assistant Principal here at Lost Lake.  I have a wide range of experiences in education, mostly at South Lake High School in Groveland.  While there, I provided instruction in Special Education (all subjects), Intensive Reading, TV Production as well as functioned as an Innovative Learning Specialist for the school.  My last role was as a Instructional Dean at Treadway Elementary up in Leesburg.

I grew up in a suburb of Boston, MA and pursued my Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina in Charlotte.  My growth as an educator continued at the University of Central Florida in Which I pursued my Reading Endorsement as well as my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership.

I am looking forward to helping our children with their growth mindset while I am here at Lost Lake!

Hello Lost Lake Family,

I am originally from Charleston W.V. and have lived in Florida since high school.  I am a proud Eustis High School and Lake Sumter State College graduate. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida, Go Knights! and my Master's degree in Educational Leadership from National-Louis University.  I am certified in Gifted, English Speakers of Other Languages, Early Childhood, Educational Leadership and School Principal. My kindergarten teaching career here in Lake County led me to Mascotte Elementary, Treadway Elementary, and then finally to Lost Lake Elementary School.  I served as Lost Lake's Curriculum Resource Teacher for 9 years and then earned a position as assistant principal at Mount Dora Middle School. I was away from Lost Lake for a couple of years, but am very glad to be back home at LLES as assistant principal.

I've lived in here in Clermont since 2006 with my oldest daughter who graduated from UCF with her bachelor's and master's degree and my youngest daughter who attends Lake Sumter State College. I am very proud of both of my daughters for furthering their education beyond high school.

I've enjoyed working with the students, staff and community here in Clermont and hope to continue the tradition of excellence as an administrator at Lost Lake Elementary School. Sincerely,

Karen E. Hart
